The stone closed around her spirit, while its light turned her veins into deep blue rock, with flecks and threads of gold. Centuries passed. During a winter that seemed destined to never end, a young smith named Jono climbed into the mountain to beg for the star's fire. The Sleeping Mother awoke and pressed the fire into his hand, draining the color from his hair and 40 years from his lifeline.

Jono hammered the ore and star into a single blade, and when he finally raised it, dawn broke as a golden light across the snow. Jono bound the hilt in ore and protected the blade with a black scabbard. The light inside flecked the scabbard with embers.

Featuring a sharpened 27.5" 1060 carbon steel blade in gold, black, and pale blue, brass fittings, and full-tang construction secured with mekugi pegs, this 40.5" katana rests in a painted wooden scabbard and comes with a single sword stand and a storage box. It's made for display and light cutting only.

How do I care for my sword?

1. Wipe the 1060 carbon steel blade with a soft, dry cloth after handling. Fingerprints carry moisture and salts.

3. Don't store it in the saya for long periods in damp places, since a scabbard can trap moisture.

I was happy with the katana but the blade was a little bent, that's my only complaint, otherwise its amazing

This sword is absolutely beautiful. I was so happy when it came, it arrived early and I’m always talking about it. However the box seemed to not be made very well. I used to the handle to lift it up and the handle ripped right off the box. Oh well I love the sword

It is definitely the most high quality thing that I have ever touched in general. However I noticed on the saya that a little piece of metal that is on the little loop for the sageo string wasn’t securely glued in.
