The Sheath, The Material, & The Shoulder Strap.
Recently, I purchased Inosuke’s Nichirin and I’m mostly satisfied with the quality of the blade. It holds in the hand well, swinging it is a breeze, and for a mass production China-make sword it’s not half bad. I have complaints for the website’s lack of materials description for the sheath, the quality of the scabbard, and the brown paint(?) along the blades inner edge. The scabbard is made to match the cloth wrappings Inosuke ties the handles with, as he has no sheath for them in the anime. But I have some issues with said sword cozy: 1. The outer shell is a shoddy foam material reinforced with a scaly, inner plastic sheet. I would have preferred (at most) a genuine leather sheath for this price. And I hope that there is such an up in quality for the battle-ready rendition. 2. The polyurethane(?) shoulder strap is an unneeded feature and further cheapened the feel of this product. Remove it. The strap gets in the way, & people would tie their own straps or leave the scabbard be if they weren’t there. This could also save your business on production costs. 3. The sheath is wider than the blade, which shifts slightly when held. This allows for debris and oxidation (rust) to accumulate. If shortened in width by a half-inch or so it might feel less unwieldy and provide greater protection. Granted, at the expense of time it takes to draw this confetti-making Nichirin. 4. Secret of the Brown Ooze. I believe this to be rust caused by the entrance of the sheath. 5. The oil used to preserve the katana smells and feels like machine oil for sewing machines. I know that using natural oils would cause some sort of mold or growth to form, but at least explain why you choose to use these materials and the oil. Overall, the three pin points I would like to see this company look into improving: a. The sheath materials. Why sacrifice quality for shoddiness? I’d gladly pay the extra for natural, self-replenishing materials. b. The shoulder strap. Sincerely, no one will be using this as an open carry self-defense weapon. c. Shut your sword hole! One size fits most should not be on your quality control list. d. The oil has got to go. Thank you for bringing these swords to weebs Stateside, and I do plan to purchase another in the future as this one is lonely.

Mini Katana delivered the heat!
This was my first sword purchase from mini katana, and I am pleased with the dull, unique and beautiful Nichirin. They wrap it up in plastic and lather the blade in oil to prevent damage. But despite this, my sheath for the sword was unfortunately damaged through delivery (as shown in pictures). I've thought about contacting them to maybe fix or replace it.

Sword came in bent
Sword came in bent at a 30 degree angle but was easy to bend back, also if you are buying this for a younger child the points of the sword are still sharp.

I LOVEEEEEEEE
It's very pretty my dad got it for my cosplay. Kinda sad there's only one but planning on getting a 2nd one. I cut myself by accidentally having my finger on the only "sharp" pointy side while closing. It was very small, healed fast, and didn't honestly hurt. Also like a backpack which I lovee!
