But when raiders came, they left the trees as soon as they entered, swearing the fog carried blades. It comes with a single sword stand, a dust bag, and a storage box, and it's made for display and light cutting only.

How do I care for my sword?

1. Wipe the 1060 carbon steel blade with a soft, dry cloth after handling. Fingerprints carry moisture and salts.
2. Apply a thin coat of protective oil every few weeks, more often in humid climates. Carbon steel rusts if neglected.
3. Don't store it in the saya for long periods in damp places, since a scabbard can trap moisture.
4. Keep oil off the handle wrap, and check now and then that the mekugi pegs are snug.
5. Wipe the swirl finish gently; abrasive cloths can wear a coated surface.

So I’ve never owned a sword and I been wanting to buy one for about month now, although I’ve always wanted a sword. I saw this one after multiple videos online and thought it looks dope and I don’t see many people with it so I bought it for my birthday on the 24th of August . When I received it I was hype because it looks just the picture maybe the red is a little more maroon than red but still looks good. But when I started trying to cut stuff I had a hard time. I believe that it has a layer of paint on it that interferes with the sharpness of the edge. I tried cutting a piece of paper and had no success. I tried cutting a water jug no success and then I tried cutting some card board boxes and after multiple attempts I was only able to fully slice through on box. I also felt that the center of Mass on the sword was closer to the handle which also made the cutting feel awkward. At this point I’m just going to sharpen the blade. Rather compromise looks for functionality

not a katana enthusiast with all the different prices and how low or high of quality the aspects of the katana should be but it is not mediocre for it’s price and with all the extra things it gives you is actually really awesome, it gave me more than i expected and i am happy.
