How do I care for my sword?

Wipe the 65Mn steel blade with a soft, dry cloth after handling. Fingerprints carry moisture and salts.
Apply a thin coat of protective oil every few weeks, more often in humid climates. Carbon steel rusts if neglected.
Don't store it in the saya for long periods in damp places, since a scabbard can trap moisture.
