I will start off by giving an in-depth analysis of the sword and what it does amazingly, and also that I would have rated it five stars if it had arrived in the state I was expecting it to:
First, it is accurate to a Peterson's type H style Viking sword from the 8th to 10th centuries. The handle wrap is nice and firm, the mild steel pommel with copper decoration and hand guard are accurate and clean, and the blade's polish and shine are amazing. The scabbard is equally well crafted in the leather aspect, but the fit of the sword into the sheath is very loose and the blade is able to slide out with no tolerance or hold. I believe this might be due to what I will mention next.
I had ordered the sharpened version of this sword with the expectation that it would be professionally sharp according to the sharpness test of Mini Katana's marketing videos. With a BESS sharpness of around 400-300 as tested. Links for context:

Instead, I received a completely dull sword that would be as if I selected the dull version from the options. I was very surprised since I knew that the sharpness could depend for slicing, and it may not seem as sharp as expected. Then I realized that there was not an existing edge bevel and it would take some serious work to correct it. Including grinding a new convex edge geometry AND secondary sharpening to sharpen it and then hone. I was able to do so with some great personal work, but I believe I should have received this sharpened and ready to do some slicing.
Lastly, these are a minor issue but the tightly wrapped packaging and oily surface of the metal made it hard to extract, and when I was able to unpack the blade, the mild steel was lightly coated in black smudges and hard to remove surface grime. I was able to clean it though.

Seem like it over priced lot more than it quality and wasn’t even sharp like the description said it was going be, highly disappointed
