I made a previous review about this katana the day I got it. Which was a mistake on my part because I didn’t get to actually test the product and have time to actually get my opinion on it so here it is. The customer service is excellent my problems is with the sword itself. The sheath itself instantly started to get loose and not hold the katana in. Leading to it coming loose one day and then it falling out and cutting my figure up pretty badly. That leads me onto the edge and steal of the katana. As a display sword a 10/10 but that’s about it. It instantly got dull after cutting just water bottles and the very tip of the sword was like a butter knife. The only reason it could still cut was because of the convex grind of the blade. It was dull but any piece of metal can come to such a small point it can cut. No problem I thought I could sharpen it on a stone. But the metal was so brittle and poorly heat treated it crumbled and didn’t hold an edge. While sharpening I also notice simply cutting water bottles scratched it to **** and back. Now it hangs on my wall as a reminded of how I wasted 300 dollars. I would recommend looking into a different katana if you want one that can actually cut and hold up longer than a week.
One of the best websites I have ever bought from. Even though these are deemed as beginner swords the quality is outstanding. Not to mention the box and cover for the sword are a beautiful way to store and maintain your katana. It came decently sharp out of the box. Not razor but still a decent edge. Sharpen it on any wet stone and it’ll be razor sharp. Customer service got back to me fast when I had questions about shipping and they shipped fast only took 6 days. Mind you they were very busy with restocks and orders but still shipped out my order fast. Highly recommend buying from here.
